The Edinburgh PC Gaming Club would like to invite the defence community of South Australia their family and friends to a Saturday LAN to be held on the 28 August 2010. Cost is $10 per head, which covers the cost of pizza and entry. The LAN will start from 1000 hrs and finish in the early hours of Sunday morning. There will be a BBQ lunch at 1200 hrs costing $1 per sausage sandwich.
The LAN will be held at the VP International Centre at RAAF Base Edinburgh. Entry onto RAAF Base Edinburgh for non-military members will be organised prior to the event.
The PC Gaming Club has a hardwired gigabit LAN with a 24-port DHCP router, which is connected to a wireless 54Mbs network, supported by a server. Internet access is also provided for those that require it. Power and LAN connections shall be supplied at each desk.
Access to the VPI bar is also available, where gamers can purchase alcoholic, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks at a low price. The VP International Centre is also Air Conditioned, so a hot day will not be a problem.
