The PC Gaming Club has it own air conditioned room within the on base VP International centre. This room has a hardwired gigabit LAN with a 24 port DHCP router, which is connected to a wireless 54Mbs network, supported by a server. Power and LAN connection are supplied at each desk, allowing gamers quick and easy computer setups. In the event of large numbers, power boards, extension cords, CAT 5E cables, and 8 port routers are also available for use. The club also has a limited number of 19 inch LCD monitors, keyboards, mice, and power cords just incase you forget your own. Access to the VPI bar is also available, where gamers can purchase alcoholic, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks at a low price. If you require a rest from gaming or just coming for the social atmosphere, the VPI centre has pay-TV and a pool table, free for use by PC Gaming club members.

Future facility developments:

• Free ADSL internet for club members. Allowing online game play and/or inter-club competitions. Done club now has internet.
• Red halogen dim lighting. Giving that realistic gaming feel.
• Dedicated club computers. Allowing members to play even if they don't own an adequate PC. The club now has one dedicated club computer. Thank you to the club members who donated the parts
• Dedicated gaming server. Done club now has a dedicated gaming server.

EDN PC GAMING now has a SERVER. It is not used too much at the moment. We hope to broaden its abilities, including having people connect over the net to join our LAN games. But for now, this page is just waiting for something interesting to happen.
